SUMMERSEAT PLAYERS

Summerseat Players is a thriving local theatre group run entirely by volunteers. The group is based in the Theatre Royal, situated right in the heart of Ramsbottom. It is easily accessible by public transport and there is plenty of parking in the town for those arriving by car.

On entry, the theatre’s rather plain 1930s façade reveals a warm and welcoming interior and the Green Room is a comfortable area in which to meet and enjoy a pre-show drink at the bar. The auditorium seats 190 people, with some wheelchair access and a loop system for the hard of hearing.

The theatre is available for limited private hire and dancing shows, musicals and single night performances are a regular feature.

New members are always welcome, whether they feel they would like to ‘tread the boards’, help out on one of the backstage teams, join the choir or even just assist with serving the interval refreshments.
