YOUTH THEATRE GROUPS

First meetings of the new season will be on Saturday 3rd October, Monday 5th October and Wednesday 7th October If anyone would like to volunteer their services to provide additional support, please let the group leaders know.

1. The Saturday group will consist of children in School Years 6 – 9 and will continue to meet from 10.00 a.m. – noon on Saturday mornings. Leadership will still be by Doug Williams and Paul Bracewell assisted by Chris Balmer and Helen Birtwell

2. On Mondays, Andrea Kinsella will lead a group of Year 10 & 11 children meeting between 6.15 & 7.45 p.m. Support comes from Clodagh O’Flynn.

3. Liz Hume-Dawson’s older group will contain children from School Year 11 to a maximum age of 19 on 1 August 2008. Meetings will continue to be on Wednesday Nights from 6.45 p.m. – 8.15 p.m. Assistance will come from Lesley Carney and Graham Mitchell

4. All Groups – Paul Bracewell deals with administration..

Some important dates for next season are:

Friday & Saturday 18th & 19th December. A Christmas Pantomime (Snow white & The Magnificent 7) written by Paul Bracewell performed by our Saturday Group sharing with Summerseat Players’ own choir “The Square Street Singers”.

February 2010. Performances primarily by our Monday & Wednesday groups.

There are also planned performances in May/June 2010 as well as possibly entering One Act Play Festivals

Leaders also plan visits to see professional productions or to other developmental opportunities as they present themselves. The trips will be subsidised by Summerseat Players but members will be expected to contribute.
