The Summerseat Players Choir is officially known as The Square Street Singers.

The choir is based at the Theatre Royal and rehearses upstairs in the studio on Friday evenings from 8pm to 10pm.

The choir is jointly led by Peter Larkin and Carolyn Baines. Pam Larkin is the principal accompanist.  The choir is fortunate to have Beth Archibald as stand in  accompanist when Pam is not available.

The Square Street singers have built a good reputation over the years and have been invited to sing at a variety of venues for events ranging from charity concerts to weddings and Christmas Fairs.

The choir typically performs eight concerts a year and has an extensive and eclectic repertoire which includes pieces from The Beatles to John Rutter.

If you are interested in joining the choir, you will receive a warm and friendly welcome. The choir sings in four parts but you may be pleased to know that there are no auditions and there is no requirement to be able to read music.

If you would like The Square Street Singers to perform at your event or if you are interested in joining the choir please email,

The new season is now underway.  The choir is looking forward to 2017 – 2018 season with new music and  several concerts already booked.  For details of concerts check the Summerseat Players home page. A very warm welcome to the new members who have joined this season.
