Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to bring you our production of Keith Waterhouse’s Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell and this production is now postponed.
However, we are thrilled to announce in it’s place a wonderful production of EDUCATING RITA, by Willy Russell.
The play dates remain the same of 17-25 May 2024, with a matinee performance on Sunday 19 May 2024.
Embark on a journey of self-discovery with ‘Educating Rita’ by Willy Russell. Set against the backdrop of 1980s Liverpool, this captivating play follows the unlikely bond between Frank, a disillusioned university professor, and Rita, a spirited hairdresser thirsty for knowledge. As Rita enrolls in Frank’s literature course, she challenges societal norms and confronts her own limitations, while Frank rediscovers his passion for teaching.
Through witty dialogue and poignant moments, ‘Educating Rita’ explores the transformative power of education and the pursuit of personal growth.
