Quartet

Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred, all famous opera singers in their day, are now enjoying their autumn years in a home for retired opera singers in Kent.  Each year, on the tenth of October, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday, and our trio are looking forward to performing.

However, Jean, who used to be married to Reggie, arrives at the home and disrupts their equilibrium.  Surely they must perform the Rigoletto Quartet?! But Jean, a true diva, has other ideas. Can the four put aside their old grudges and re- team for one more show-stopping finale?

The show must go on in this funny, warm and poignant play by talented and renowned writer Ronald Harwood, author of Another Time and The Dresser.
