The Summerseat Players Choir is officially known as Square Street Singers.

The Choir is based at the Theatre Royal and rehearses in the Studio (upstairs)

on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

The Choir is jointly led by Peter Larkin and Carolyn Baines. Pam Larkin is the principal accompanist.  The Choir is fortunate to have Beth Archibald as stand-in accompanist when Pam is not available.

Square Street Singers have built a good reputation over the years and continue to flourish. The ethos of the Choir is to enjoy singing, while at the same time striving to achieve and maintain a high standard of performance. The Choir's repertoire is extensive and eclectic, and includes pieces from Abba to Elgar!

If you would like the Choir to perform at your event, please email Peter Larkin at

Following on from the success of the Christmas Cornucopia Concert in 2019, the Choir presented a wonderfully festive Christmas Concert at the Theatre Royal on Saturday 4th December 2021.

There was a mixed programme of songs and carols plus readings presented by The Square Street Singers and two theatrical performances from members of Summerseat Players' Youth Group.

Square Street Singers always welcome new members in all four parts, but we are particularly interested in recruiting Basses and Tenors at the moment. For more information email:
