Competition Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions:

  1. These terms and conditions relate to the currently active promotion.
  2. The promoter is Summerseat Players at the Theatre Royal, Ramsbottom (the Society or the Theatre).
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. The competition may be entered into via email (info@summerseatplayers.co.uk) and put ‘COMPETITION’ as the subject. Include your full name and mobile number in the email.
  6. Closing date for entry will be 20:00 on 21st November 2024. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  9. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  10. The prizes are as follows: 2 x One pair of tickets for ‘Hay Fever’ on either Sunday 24 November 2024 (matinee performance, curtain up at 2pm), OR Tuesday 26 November 2024 (evening performance, curtain up at 7:45pm).
  11. The winner will be sent their tickets via email.  Alternatively, the winner may collect their tickets from the Box Office at the Theatre Royal, Ramsbottom from 6.30pm on the evening of their choice of performance, or from 1pm if it is a matinee. ID will be required to confirm winner status. If the tickets are not collected by 7.40pm on the designated evening, or 1.55pm on designated afternoon, the winner will forfeit their prize.  The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.  The Winners will be responsible for all other costs, including but not limited to: accommodation, travel, food, refreshments.
  12. In order to guarantee ticket availability, the seats for each prize have been allocated prior to the competition launching. We may be able to change the winners’ seats if needed, subject to availability. If an aisle seat or wheelchair bay is needed due to mobility reasons, the necessary arrangements will be made – we endeavour to make the theatre accessible for all.
  13. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  14. Winners will be chosen at random by a Theatre official or person selected by the same to draw the prize.
  15. Winners will be chosen at random by a Theatre official using a random name generating wheel.
  16. The winner will be notified by email  within 2 days of the competition closing. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 4 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  17. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
  18. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  20. The winners agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. The name of the winners will be disclosed to the Theatre and relevant Theatre officials for the purposes of prize collection. The Theatre will be considered the ‘data controller’. This means that their own privacy policies will cover how they manage and store this information.  The information provided will be used in conjunction with the Society’s Privacy Policy, which is available on request via the Theatre.
