Our season of incredible plays kicks off with Haunting Julia, a spooky ghost tale from acclaimed writer Alan Ayckbourn (winner of Olivier and Tony awards).
The story follows the tragic and untimely death of Julia, who was a gifted young musician – a musical prodigy who was composing symphonies from the age of eight. Twelve years on, three men are still haunted by memories of her. Julia’s father, Joe, has never really come to terms with her death. He is looking for answers and tonight he intends to get them… but are some questions better left unanswered?
In a version of the room where Julia died, a psychic, her boyfriend and Joe seek to find out the truth about her death.
Do ghosts really exist? Do the three men have something more to tell about Julia’s sad death? This is a gripping and hauntingly tense tale of grief and the supernatural, but still punctuated with the trademark wit of British playwright, Sir Alan Ayckbourn.
