Windy Van Hooten’s Circus
‘Windy Van Hooten’s Circus’ was commissioned by Summerseat Players to open a series of monologues entitled ‘I’m Still here.’ Filmed in November 2020, the monologue is a eulogy, delivered by Jingles, a circus clown, who is mourning his friend. Written by BAFTA and Olivier award winning playwright, Tim Whitnall, whose previous work includes Morecambe and The Sociable Plover, as well as Best Possible Taste: The Kenny Everett Story. The film features John O’Connell who will be familiar to our audiences having performed on the Manchester theatre circuit for over thirty years.
Following this film we will release a further twelve monologues, all winners of our monologue competition.
