Wasted

Three old friends in their mid-twenties.  One remarkable day.  For Ted, Danny and Charlotte, who have now hit the disillusionment of adulthood after the hedonistic freedoms of adolescence, it’s time to seize control.  Make a difference.  Change things. THIS IS IT! 

As they gather around a tree planted to remember a lost friend and their WASTED youth spent in parks and raves and cafes, we hear a tale of lives less ordinary in an unforgiving world.

With an exhilarating score and interspersed with addresses to the audience delivered in rapid-fire rap-style poetry, Kae Tempest’s play is funny, poignant, observational, and touching.

A modern play about love, life, and losing your mind.

About the writer: Kae Tempest has written poetry for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Channel 4 and the BBC.  She has supported (amongst others) Billy Bragg and John Cooper Clarke on tour, as well as having featured on a number of songs including, tunes by Bastille, Sinead O’Connor and Damien Dempsey.  Kae is also two-time slam winner at the Nu-Yorican poetry contest in NYC and has headlined at the Latitude festival, as well as appearing at Glastonbury.
